Although a dive certification is valid for life, if it has been a while since your last dive, it's a good idea to refresh your skills with a dive instructor before joining fun dives or taking your Advanced Open Water course (if you haven't already achieved that certification).
Take your Scuba Review at Ocean Sound Dive & Yoga to refresh your dive skills while exploring the best Koh Tao dive sites and enjoying aquatic life that can include turtles, large schools of fish, and even a whale shark, if you're lucky! The Scuba Review is mandatory for divers who have been out of the water for a year or more. However, if it's been less than a year since you've been diving, but you feel a little rusty, you are also welcome to join a Scuba Review before starting your Advanced certification course.
During your scuba review, one of the expert Ocean Sound dive instructors will help you get reacquainted you with the underwater world. You will start on the surface, as your instructor reminds you of some essential dive theory and shows you how to set up your equipment, if you're feeling out of practice. Once in the water, your instructor will help you repeat some of the fundamental skills and exercises covered during the Open Water Course, both on the surface and underwater. Once the skills are complete and you are feeling confident, the rest of the dive will be spent exploring the underwater world at one of our excellent Koh Tao dive sites. After your dive time is up, you'll head back onto our comfortable dive boat for a snack and rest while the boat moves to a different dive site, at which time you'll head back into the water for a second dive. This time, you'll be able to simply go on a fun dive, diving you the chance to put your newly refreshed skills to use... unless, of course, you prefer to continue to work on any skills, which your instructor will be happy to cater to, upon request. Our Scuba Reviews are tailored to each diver's unique needs, so this is a great option for anyone who has been out of the water for a while, regardless of level of certification or previous experience.
